AOI Biosciences is a Japanese startup primarily engaged in the development of diagnostics and drugs centered on autoimmune diseases. We hold a patent-protected, world-unique testing platform that detects autoantibodies known as "Neoself antibodies," which are produced against Neoself antigens that cause autoimmune diseases. Our flagship "β2GPI Neoself Antibody Test," intended for mothers suffering from recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) and infertility, was certified as Advanced Medical Care by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in June 2025, and is currently used by more than 300 medical institutions across Japan. Clinical studies have shown that appropriate treatment of antibody-positive patients improves the live birth rate by approximately 1.7x and the pregnancy rate by approximately 2x. We are also expanding the platform to enable diagnostics for other autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, by collaborating with Toshiba, we are advancing allosteric drug discovery using quantum-inspired computing technology. By developing both the diagnostics and drug discovery businesses, we aim to protect the everyday health of people around the world.
