Today, GrSMU has 6 faculties: medical, pediatric, medical-diagnostic, medical-psychological, faculty of advanced training and retraining, faculty of foreign students. The university trains specialists in the main classical medical fields. The work of 44 departments has been organized, which cover fundamental, clinical and specialized disciplines, providing a full cycle of training for doctors and scientific and pedagogical personnel. Grodno Medical University in many ways became the initiator and pioneer among universities in Belarus. For example, he was the first to implement a pilot project to create a university clinic and opened the first simulation and certification center in Belarus. It became the first Belarusian medical university to implement and certify a quality management system and were the first among the country's universities to undergo international institutional and program accreditation for compliance with international and European quality standards. GrSMU is the only one of all medical universities of the Republic of Belarus that is a four-time laureate of the Government of the Republic of Belarus Prize in the field of quality (2011,2016, 2019, 2022). The university was awarded the Grand Prix in the International Business Award “Leader of the Year” and was recognized as the best in 2020, 2021 and 2023. In order to improve the provision of highly qualified assistance to the population, the Professorial Advisory Center was created in 2010 as a structural unit of the educational institution “Grodno State Medical University”. Consultative consultations are conducted by experienced professors, associate professors and assistant professors of the university’s clinical departments in 22 specialties. The simulation and certification center of the GrSMU has opened 11 training modules in various areas: obstetrics and gynecology, anesthesiology and resuscitation, laparoscopic surgery and gynecology, first aid, therapy. The center is equipped with modern medical and simulation equipment. More than 300 pieces of equipment are presented here, more than 30 of them are robot simulators and high-tech mannequins. Year after year, having overcome many difficulties and having gone through its own development path, the university has turned into a modern scientific and educational center, known not only in our republic, but also abroad.
