Based on our extensive experience in product development and technical evaluation in our core field of electronics, Mizuta Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has been actively expanding its technology into different industries since 2020. In the medical, bio, and life sciences fields, we focused on "micro-mesh culture technology," a technological seed from RIKEN (Kobe) in 2016. Utilizing our proprietary structural and functional design technologies, we proposed commercialization and launched a full-scale joint research project in 2018. Subsequently, with the selection for the FY2020 Strategic Core Technology Advancement Program (Supporting Industry Program / currently Go-Tech Program), we established an in-house cell culture environment for quality evaluation and functional verification. Since then, we have advanced our own cell culture technologies alongside ongoing R&D. The fine-mesh cell culture device created through this project has been named "Meshtable®." By introducing it to the market as a novel 3D cell culture device with unprecedented features, we aim to meet market demands, such as toxicity evaluation and alternative models for animal testing, while contributing to various new application developments, including previously impossible experiments and research. Furthermore, toward the utilization of fabricated 3D cell sheets, we plan to not only sell the devices but also accelerate R&D tailored to our customers' specific needs, drawing on our established business expertise.
