We own, operate, maintain and develop the railway infrastructure across the UK, supporting around 600 freight trains every day. Our purpose is to connect people and goods with where they need to be, while ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency across the rail network for our customers. We work closely with Freight Operators to ensure freight runs smoothly and on time to support the rapidly evolving and growing industry. We believe the future of freight lies within rail freight, allowing us to hit national decarbonisation targets, easing road congestion, and improving air quality, to provide a greener future for all.
