The Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry is a regional branch of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, serving as the primary contact point for industrial and economic policies in the Kansai region, which comprises two prefectures and five prefectures . Leveraging the strengths of the Kansai region in the life sciences field, the Bureau works to enhance platform functions that promote collaboration among companies as well as among industry, academia, and government. It also supports the development of growth industries such as healthcare, medical care, and biotechnology, while promoting the creation of new businesses through the use of digital technologies.
