Acerca de
Médecins du Monde Japan (MdM Japan) is an international medical humanitarian NGO working toward a future where everyone has access to healthcare. Founded in Paris in 1979, Médecins du Monde began activities in Japan following the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995. Today, the organization operates in 75 countries worldwide, providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict, disasters, poverty, displacement, and social exclusion. Beyond barriers of nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, or ideology, MdM supports vulnerable populations who are excluded from healthcare access. Our activities include emergency and long-term humanitarian support in Palestine (Gaza), Ukraine, Bangladesh, and other crisis-affected regions. In Japan, MdM has provided medical assistance during major disasters including the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Kumamoto Earthquake, and the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, as well as healthcare support for homeless populations. The organization also conducts maternal and child healthcare programs in Laos and support activities for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. Through this exhibition, we hope to share information with healthcare professionals and expand support toward realizing a society where everyone can access medical care.
