Emirie Co., Ltd. consisted of two business divisions: a medical systems division and a cutlery division. The Medical Systems Division develops, manufactures, and sells handwashing units for operating rooms and hospital wards. We have supplied custom-made handwashing units for the operating rooms of Osaka University Hospital, and by building relationships with medical institutions and related companies, we have earned a certain market share and reputation within the industry.
Recently, we have been focusing on medical-engineering collaboration initiatives. In partnership with Osaka Metropolitan University Hospital, we jointly developed and commercialized the S-Cube facial protective device for robot-assisted surgery.
The Cutlery Division manufactures and sells Sakai knives, as well as medical cutting instruments (stainless steel medical instruments). We also provide knife engraving, sharpening, repair, and maintenance services for medical instruments.
Our company develops and manufactures products by incorporating the voices and needs of a wide range of customers—including general consumers, chefs, and medical professionals—into our product development process.
