The BiocK Mental Health Working Group is a project team established within the Bio Community Kansai (BiocK), an organization certified by the Cabinet Office of Japan, with Shionogi & Co., Ltd. serving as the leading institution.
Based on the recognition that numerous challenges exist across the continuum of mental health—from prevention and treatment to post-treatment support—the working group aims to create comprehensive mental health care solutions by leveraging lifestyle data, medical information, and other relevant data sources.
As part of these efforts, the group is placing particular focus on perinatal mental health, which has shown a rising trend in recent years. It is exploring data- and digital technology–driven approaches to support mental health conditions occurring from pregnancy through the postpartum period.
