Delox is a Portuguese deep-tech company founded in 2018 as a spin-off from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. The company develops innovative bio-decontamination solutions to address critical challenges, including antimicrobial resistance, hospital-acquired infections, and microbial contamination. At the core of Delox’s technology is a proprietary solid formulation of hydrogen peroxide (DeloxHP) that releases hydrogen peroxide in vapor form for highly effective sterilization. This approach enables the elimination of up to 99.9999% of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and spores, even in hard-to-reach areas. Delox designs compact, portable, and automated equipment, such as the Delox Box, which simplifies bio-decontamination processes by not requiring complex process setups. Delox solutions are residue-free, non-toxic, and environmentally sustainable, as hydrogen peroxide decomposes into water and oxygen after use. The technology is applied across multiple sectors, including healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceuticals, biodefense, and even space-related environments.
